- Martin, since when do you play tennis and how long have you been in ITL?

- I first caught a rocket in 2015. It was not love at first sight, in the beginning it was extremely difficult and foreign. But thanks to my great stubbornness, things started to work out. I am not one of the most regular in the league, because I prefer to spend the evenings with my family, but I regularly take part in the Saturday-Sunday challengers of the league. This year I showed a good game, I recorded 4 challengers and they helped me qualify for the finals. - What do you like about tennis?

- In tennis, everything is built on perseverance and strategy. Every mistake is punished, just like in life. In addition, tennis is a social sport and thanks to it I made a lot of friends and contacts.

- What is your biggest victory?

- Maybe every time I win with a good game and enjoy what is shown on the court. I don`t associate the victory with any achievement, I`m just trying to enjoy the game. We are amateurs and this should be everyone`s main goal.

- Who is your toughest opponent?

- It`s certainly me. If I manage to fight with myself, to gather my thoughts and emotions, I rarely encounter problems against anyone. Unfortunately, I`m still working on it and it doesn`t happen very often, but it will happen over time.

- What is your strongest weapon on the court?

- I rely on my varied game. I have a variable serve, a decent forehand with which I distribute the game. I often take advantage with surprisingly short balls. There is no set blow to gain an advantage, I rely on diversity.

- - Which blow do you want to improve?

- Maybe a backhand. It seems that he is lagging behind the general background. On the backhand side, I rarely make successful attacks, but rather use it to keep the ball in play. I usually attack from the forehand. But I will also improve the backhand - with training and perseverance, as happens with anything. It will certainly not happen by itself.

- What do you do in critical moments in matches?

- It`s easy to go out and get into moments like that. Even if I lead convincingly, I sometimes fall into a hole for a moment. Then I concentrate as much as possible, I definitely forget about the result, I provide an idea of my strokes to minimize mistakes. If it works - great. Sometimes I try to break the game between games or services, I slow down until I can concentrate well.

- Who is your idol in tennis and why?
